This event is free of charge with only limited seats available, please register yourself quickly if you're interested! This Spring HPC School is made possible through the collaboration between the TU/e's HPC Lab, SURF & EuroCC.

    Josefine Proll is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Physics at Eindhoven University of Technology ( TU/e). Since secondary school, she has been passionate about solving the worlds energy problem. On learning about nuclear fusion and its potential to solve exactly that problem Josefine decided she wanted to work on making nuclear fusion a reality.

    Ivo Filot is a theoretical chemist. His research involves developing new computational techniques in multiscale modeling of catalytic reactions, in particular for the elucidation of the complex Fischer-Tropsch reaction mechanism, employing density functional theory and microkinetic modeling.

    Cassio De Campos main research interests are reliable machine learning and robust artificial intelligence, focused on theoretical and foundational developments for learning and reasoning with graphical models such as Bayesian networks, (hidden) Markov models, Markov random fields, influence diagrams, Markov decision processes, sum-product networks, and their use in applications.

    Yali Tang

    Yali Tang is an assistant professor at the Power and Flow group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Her research expertise focuses on the fundamentals of multiphase flows using computational fluid dynamics modelling. An important research topic is the hydrodynamics, mass and heat transfer in fluid-particle systems such as in packed and fluidized beds, as well as bubble column reactors.
